Graduation Gift

 Hi, I'm a father of four and a small business owner concerned that my kids were not getting some basic skills and information from school so I wrote a guide to fill in the gaps in their education.

 

I kept asking the question "why don't they teach basic lessons about life and money in school?" and "why isn't there a simple resource where you can get this information?" 

Starting with their:

• gifts

• talents 

• desires

then adding basic things like:

• how to open a bank account,

• what is a credit card,

• how do I get a job,

• how do I find an apartment,

• how do I file my taxes 

• what am I supposed to be doing with my life 

 

Graduation Gift is that basic resource.  It follows Joe, my stick figure friend as he "graduates" and begins living and learning about various aspects of life. 

 

At the bottom of each page I've included a link to an article, video, book or website that I think would be helpful.  This is just an introduction and a place to start looking for information.  I hope you find it valuable.
