Life, Money and Gratitude #24 Quickest way to confidence: Learn a skill

Skills

It seems so simple, learn something new or refresh an old skill and you'll boost your own feeling of self worth.

Feel like you lack a skill?  Don’t get started because people around you would think you don’t know anything.  Become a learner, when you’re in the process of learning you’re bound to make mistakes, but that's ok you’re just learning.

“I don’t know, I’m just learning.”

An Important phrase to tell yourself and those around you.

It’s a rare (and mean) person who will say something unkind if they know you're trying to learn something.  Most of the time you’ll get applauded for your effort and a lot of times you’ll find people will actually help you.

Once you get started you’ll see it’s not that bad.

  • 30 minutes a day towards a skill you're trying to learn

  • that’s three and a half hours a week

  • That’s 14 hours a month

Imagine if you did this for an entire year, you would probably become well versed at that skill, maybe not an expert but really good.

Want to boost your confidence, start working on a skill, any skill, spend some time each day working on it and watch what happens.  You’ll amaze yourself.

Until next time, God Bless and be well.
