Running Together

Life, Money and Gratitude # 38

If you're out there going it alone you might feel like you have the weight of the whole world on your shoulders. It doesn’t have to be that way.  I was pleasantly reminded of how nice it is to be part of a group.

Over the weekend I participated in a road race surrounded by people I didn’t know.  About halfway through I noticed I was running in a small group of about half a dozen people at the same pace.  We cheered each other on, smiled at each other, and ran together.  It was an uplifting experience.

At the end of the race I realized that I didn’t know any of the people I was with and it didn’t matter.  We were headed in the same direction and had the same goal, to finish.  If you can find people going the same way as you it makes the journey so much easier, even if you don’t know them personally.

Find people to run with and run together.

Until next time, be well.
